Malia Garcia, my daughter and her work in the World

Just a quick share of the work my daughter is doing in South Africa. This is what she has to say, “In January I will be co-hosting a young women’s entrepreneur workshop in Soweto, South Africa. We are working in partnership with Global Camps Africa to provide young girls an opportunity to create their own business. I am looking to you for help. $500 will sponsor a workshop participant, providing her with all the necessary supplies and community support to develop a business plan, learn about profit and loss as well as marketing and sourcing. Any amount will help! Would you consider making a donation? Your donation is tax-deductible.  Honor the strong women in your life by providing a gift to change the course of a young girl’s life in Soweto.

These girls live in HIV stricken areas where they have no examples of a life outside of poverty. We offer support and a path to a different life with this workshop. With your help, this workshop will make waves! Please feel free to pass this along to others who may be interested in learning about our journey!”

What an exciting adventure, doing good in the world. Here is the link you can help out, whatever amount: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/globalcampsafrica
